âTIME CONSTANT OF MANOMETERâ
The present set-up is designed to study the characteristics of a U Tube manometer. It consists of a U Tube manometer, which is pressurized by air. A suitable and proper arrangement has done for charging and discharging the manometer fluid in the manometer. These arrangements facilitate to observe the response of different types of manometer fluids of different heights. An air pressure regulator is provided to change the pressure in the manometer. All components are assembled on a frame to form a table top set-up.
Ã To find the characteristics of U tube manometer.
Ã To estimate the theoretical time constant and damping coefficient of the manometer.
Ã To plot the graphs with damping co-efficient as a bcirra and decay ratio, over shoot and frequency of oscillation as ordinates.

Ã Constant compressed air supply at 1 CFM and Pressure 2 to 3 Kg/cm2.
Ã Table for set-up support.
Ã Manometer Fluid.
Ã Manometer : Material Borosilicate Glass, U tube type, Height 1 m.
Ã Pressure regulator : 0-2 kg/cm²
Ã Stop Watch : Electronic.
Ã An ENGLISH instruction manual consisting of experimental procedures, block diagram etc. will be provided along with the Apparatus
Ã The whole set- up is well designed and arranged on a rigid structure painted with industrial PU Paint.
